Moon Township Garden Club
our impact
What We Do
We are a Garden Club chartered through the Garden Club Federation of America. Through all seasons, we provide enrichment through events, outreach, information and the Fleur De Lune Garden to the residents and visitors of Western Pennsylvania. We strive to be a positive and invigorating addition to the community.

Education & outreach

-
Each year, our members offer one or more scholarships to graduating seniors and current college, university or trade school students from Moon and Crescent Townships majoring in horticultural and environmental fields.
-
Our club organizes contests for children in the community to enter poetry, sculpture, poster, and essay contests which focus on horticulture and environmental concerns as well as educational crafts and activities. We also host an annual plant and pollinator photo contest.
-
You'll find our members offering information and activities at community events such as the Moon Parks Spooktacular and Earth Day festivities.
-
Our members receive continuing education programs through monthly programs and field trips. The Club offers scholarships to full members to further their gardening knowledge through online and in-person classes.
Nature Conservation

-
Members host an annual plant giveaway, distributing more than 1000 native and pollinator-supporting plants annually.
-
We produce educational videos, blog feeds, and social media posts on horticultural and environmental topics.
-
Members fundraise, plan, and cultivate the Fleur de Lune Garden at Robin Hill Park - providing a place where people, plants, and pollinators thrive.

Civic Beautification
-
Our members execute the master plan and care for the Fleur de Lune Garden at Robin Hill Park.
-
Our members organize a biennial Garden Tour and gift shop, inviting the public to tour private gardens in the community. The tour provides a unique learning opportunity while raising funds for education and outreach activities provided throughout the year.
-
Our members host a biennial Garden Party in the Fleur De Lune Garden at Robin Hill, offering tours of the garden and refreshments to benefit the maintenance and improvement of this historic site.
Community Service
-
Members produce educational programming for both adults and youth year-round.
-
Our Civic, Horticulture, and Education Committee grows and distributes more than 1000 native and pollinator-supporting plants annually.
